Baptism Sign-up Form

At Nations House of Prayer, we believe water baptism is regarded as a sacred ordinance rather than a sacrament that imparts salvation. It is viewed as an outward physical act that symbolizes a spiritual transformation that has already occurred within the believer.

Key tenets of water baptism:

Mode of Immersion: Baptism by full immersion. This is believed to be the biblical command and the best representation of a believer's death to their old life and resurrection to a new life in Christ.

Believer’s Baptism: Baptism is reserved for those who have personally repented of their sins and placed their faith in Jesus Christ.

Symbolic Meaning: It represents three primary spiritual truths:
Death: Entering the water symbolizes the death of the old, sinful nature.
Burial: Being submerged represents being "buried with Christ".
Resurrection: Rising from the water symbolizes being raised to walk in "newness of life".

Salvation vs. Obedience: Baptism is not necessary for salvation; salvation is achieved by grace through faith alone. However, baptism is considered an essential step of obedience commanded by Jesus in the Great Commission.
